Our trip down under there!
4 octobre 2008

South of Sydney

After 10 days inland, coming back to the sea side was like going on summer holidays after a school year. You know that feeling of excitement whilst rediscovering the beach and the waves under a warm day when splashing in the water helps to cool down. Well that is exactly what happened yesterday when we reached the sea side after 2 weeks in the mountains and the country side where the nights temperature had been very cool, even down to minus 2. Day time was nice but still cool especially around Orange where we realised how much we have adapted to be warm and living in our tee-shirts and shorts all the time. The life inland is very different to on the coast, more laid back with in some place a real ‘farming’ feel. We have stayed around lakes or creeks quite a bit and enjoyed a beautiful zoo in Dubbo where you have to cycle or drive around as it is so big and spacious. It looks like an African safari. The cities all seemed to have something special...The biggest country music town in Australia or the largest koalas population or the best food and wine (not our experience but anyway..) or something, but they all have a label to attract you! Spring is beautiful with flowers and trees blooming everywhere. It is really amazing to have the chance to witness spring twice in the same year! The smell of lilac are mixed with orange flower smell which is really divine.
